About This Project

A worker harvest Dorona grapes on the Island of Mazorbo on September 9, 2015 in Venice, Italy. Known as the ‘Dorona’ (Golden Grape) during the age of the Venetian Doges this autochthonous grape variety became nearly extinct and only a few plants were left hidden away in vegetable gardens and convents.
